Sure.

Isn't the RB of the Ravens/Browns an ex-con? Wasn't 10-15 of your fav players involved in gun-play or paying for prossies? Any ex-con gets a chance to re-enter society. Public opinion will have its say with boos (away games) - but, as with most NFL games... once guys start winning $$$ on him, again.. they'll forget all about it.

NO!!!!! If he is allowed to go back to the NFL after breaking NFL rules, then, the league should let Tank Johnson back, and a few others. Vick commited a crime. He has lost everything. You know what the sickest part of this is? He had a whole life ahead of him. He was a Hall of Famer, and blew it on dogs. Once the Falcons get their 55 million back, Vick is nothing but a lonesome man. Too Bad, I liked watching him run. Now nothing but a story.

Should the laws of the US government and each of the states permit M. Vick to play once he serves all of his time? Absolutely!

Should the fans and management of the Atlanta Falcons be forced or coerced by the NAACP to take him back? Absolutely not.

The Atlanta Falcons are a business. And if their customers will tolerate their having an employee with Vick's record of problems (water bottle in airport security smelling like pot; obsene gestures to fans; violation of Georgia's Click-it-or-Ticket law in addition to the dog fighting and related issues), then the Falcons should certainly be permitted to have him on the payroll.

At the same time, if the customers of the Falcons do not wish to have him involved, then the Falcons should not be legally required or even coerced to continue their relationship beyond their existing binding contractual obligations.

Unfortunately No:
If I were Roger Goodell it wouldnt take long for me to decide to lay down a lifetime ban on Vick. If you take an honest look at what that would do for the reputation of the league, and the respect that it would garner from so many fans and non-fans alike (perhaps future fans), it far outweighs the reasons for allowing Mike back into the league.
This simply shows how just one very talented athlete can really bring down not only a program, but leave a bruise on the entire sport. After 35 years of being a devoted NFL fan, my opinion is to boot this individual for his lack of control, terrible treatment of other living things, and his dishonesty regarding these issues.

I know many players have been allowed back, and i know the NAACP is on high gear to make sure Vick will go back to the NFL. But honestly there should be a rule that forbids any athlete who is convicted of a felony to return period.
Heck how about we let Donaughy back as ref he only made a mistake, should we let landis back in the tour? (although nothings proven yet) he only made a mistake ... i also hope that they get going with the bond affair ... either he took steroids we can prove it and tell him to take a hoke including remove his record ... but if he is not guilty and cannot be proven as so he should get the apology he is due.
all in all enough is enough we allow athletes to make millions and be role models and the waste that PRIVILEGE, the price for that should be life ban.

Since I grew up with dogs and I know for a fact they go through the same feelings we do if they are tortured or killed I believe he should be banned for good from the NFL..... with all the money he should have saved being inthe NFL he should be able to retire early or for good anways. If he serves jail time hopefully someone whos int here knocks some sense into him while hes in there

When someone lies about something is it not because they are ashamed of what they've done. Vick only lied because of the embarrassment of getting caught. if someone viewed a cock fight would they not think anything of it, of course they wouldn't care, its chickens. This only goes to show you that there is a double standard in everything in life. Thats horrible that anyone wish this guy couldn't return.

Think about it, next time you tell a little white lie, or just a flat out lie about anything, don't you still want to be able to work and make a living loving what you do??? yes you do!!!
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS AND HUNTING
VICK FOR NFL!!!!! NO TALENT LIKE THAT SHOULD GO TO WASTE!!!!
PETA is for DUMMIES!!!!

when he serves his time in prison and does public service work for the humane society and truly makes a change in his life. why not. the thing standing in his way as far as the nfl is, is the gambling. even though it wasnt football, gambling is still gambling to the nfl. maybe he can help law enforcement with the animal fighting. its all over the country and not just dogs. he is not alone, he just got caught.

Yes...Although I do not like Mr. Vick or his brother because of their off-the-field character issues, he should be allowed to attempt to come back to the NFL if he pays for his crime with time. I would be more dissappointed in any NFL Team that takes him, but you cannot blame Mr. Vick for trying to get back on the field.

No matter what our personal opinions of dog-fighting are, and no matter how much time Vick gets in prison, he will be unlikely to play in the NFL again because of the league's STRICT POLICY ON GAMBLING.

i dont see why not! i mean if he serves his time then why the hell not? i mean look at ray lewis, that fool had a MURDER case on him, a MURDER case! and he's still playing and no one even remembers! its not an issue no more. we shouldnt keep condemning people about their past mistakes. i mean damn he messed up now hes going to serve his time so let him play. man the whole nfl consists of convicts! every last one of them players had been in jail for something crucial!
