I have met several people using this medium. I don't know if it's a good thing though: they have all been a bit cracked in the head! But I am in love with the one I met last. I couldn't have met him any other way...

lol doll! am i one of those that are cracked in the head? friends of course. anyway, i haven't met any of my significant others online. although, one of my sister friends met her husband online. i do believe it can work. you just need to be honest and up front. do you share any interests? maybe you could go and check out a movie? go bowling? i don't know. if he's interested in you then he will jump at the chance to meet you in person. good luck!

i did, right here, but the girl i live with says it better than me:
i came across sugaree on answers over a year ago, we "played" together here pretty often. not with sexual innuendo, it wasnt like that. after about 8 months we chatted on 360, still no innuendo, just friends. then after a year we realized we were being retarded and that we actually "liked" each other so he came to visit for a weekend. then he came back permanently. i already loved him so i guess i fell in love at the airport.

me. I actually met her and we married. now we have one boy and another on the way. long story but it is what it is and i'm not ashamed of how we met. I love my wife so freaking much that i know it was meant to be. i think god was telling me..okay dude you keep saying i don't cut you no breaks well i'm giving you everything you want in this girl..so you better prove me wrong! (and i don't believe in god or destiny) but i do believe her and i were destined to meet. we are so made for each other its great!
helps that she's drop dead gorgeous..hehehe

i tried dating someone online for 8 mos, but it didnt work out for both of us, were about to meet this november, i wasnt able to win his trust, since he knows i am always on answers and 360, he thought i flirt to every tom dick and harry in here, which is not true. the feeling of the falling out was as terrible as real life break ups, i suffered a lot too.

Haha, I did. One of my friends gave my AIM sn to another friend, and that's how we met. At least we went to the same school, so he wasn't a complete stranger.
