I just got back from there, so I'm fresh with ideas. The London Eye is a big hit- people of any age love it. Visit Buckingham Palace, for the Changing of the Guard ceremony (11am every day). Go shopping in the Picadilly Circus and Oxford Street, amazing shops! And- you absolutely must go to Harrods- the big department store. It may be expensive, but at least look around. It's an amazing place to even just browse.

The Tower of London is really really fun...for all ages...and also the Crown Jewels (which are located at the Tower)
Westminster Abbey is beautiful--you kind of have to see it if you're in London! And you can see Big Ben/Parliament from there too.
Buckingham Palace--changing of the guards. They only change on certain days, so be sure to check when they do it. It's always at 11.30AM, but be sure to get there at least a half hour early to get a good spot.
If you want to shop, go to TopShop (for cheaper stuff) and Harrod's (world famous--owned by Dodi al Fayed's dad--Dodi was the one who died with Princess Diana...)
If they're interested in literary things, go to the British Museum, where they have illuminated manuscripts (like Shakespeare's folios, etc.)
You can also go to the Serpentine (lake) in Hyde Park, where you can rent rowboats and paddle boats.
Have FUN!!!

Shopping at the street market in Piccadilly Circus.
Take the train out to Windsor Castle, inexpensive and fun.

go to the tower of london and ride the london eye- i wouldn't even bother with the zoo with teens unless they are younger teens. we also just got back, having taken a 4 yr old and an 11 yr old. they loved everything we did, including touring westminster abbey, a boat ride on the thames, a day trip to hampton court palace, just walking around everywhere, taking trains and busses- everything was a great adventure as it was our first time outside the US. have a fab time!!!

The Globe is reallyy good. It is a replica of the reall Globe built by Shakespeare. We took two 16year olds and they enjoyed it. The Millennium Wheel was also a hit.
