I figure the physcis community could help me out on this one...

So, General Relativity still depends upon human observation. The experiments, it all, etc. etc.

But if we took aware the observational element, humans, would it still be the same (the theory & spacetime being absolute)?

The observations of General Relativity are the assessment of our time measurement reconciled over large distances and speeds.

So if the universe is just out there, with no human to observe it would time exist? It would just be particle creation and deterioration-two things that I don't think solidify "time" seeing that they act contradictory.

It seems like the confirmations of General Relativity are confirmed by our own measurement system/observation. In raw reality, minus the human element, would it still be the same? Aren't we just being convinced of general relativity because of the need to undertsand velocity over huge distance?

I suck at articulating this so if you know what I mean

In order to get a good grip on time you must imagine it not to be there. In this condition everything in the universe is stationary there is no motion, no action, no reaction, no being, all things that require a verb to explain or understand are gone. All that is left is unmoving space and matter. Unmoving all the way to and including whatever takes place in QFT. As in the term frozen in time. Any creation requires time. The being exists in time. No time = no creation or deterioration. No time = No being,

If there is any measure of time that is required for the action even if it be undeterminable as sometimes indicated by QFT it can not be without time. Our perception of the matter changes nothing as even perception requires time. Without time there is no perception. Without time there is not but solid unmoving space that does not allow any motion to take place within or without.

Time is only pertinent when measuring the change of something in relation to something else. If humans did not exist in the universe, and time depended only on it, how would time be measured? What would you measure the change of the universe against? Time as we know it is a human invention, and it is relative. Would it still be the same if we took away humans? That's kind of like the old Zen question - what is the sound of one hand clapping? According to quantum physics, the act of observation is crucial to collapsing the wave function to make a particle a particle instead of a wave. Who knows - maybe if none of us were here to observe the universe, it would simply exist as an ocean of potentiality - pure energy with no form.

Yes, time would still exist without human observation, but time would still be different depending on the location. A water molecule located on a planet orbiting a star which is orbiting a black hole would still vibrate at the same frequency as one at a random location in space, but during the time it took to complete 1 vibration on the planet, the molecule on a random(slow moving) place in the universe would undergo more than 1 vibration relative to the planets time.

Time relates as a quantity that determines how fast a process (phenomenon) takes place.
If the event does not take place (exists)then there is no time relative to that event.
So for time to exist the event must be continous in the Universe.
If that is the Case time is a constant in the Universe.

Time, as defined by we mortals, does not actually exist. Time is a creation to break up the mind-bogglingly long existence of this particular incarnation of this particular universe. To prove this, go out into nature, anywhere, and try to collect, capture, or design a device to detect time. Time is but a construction humans need to justify the fact that we are merely existential beings who have been searching for our purpose since we as a species could form thought.

If people did not exist - the universe would still exist.

In fact, it existed for about 15 billion years before the humans showed up.

Although we base our conclusions on our observations - we base them on observations of actual things that behave in actual ways according to actual physical rules.

If noone aswered this question - would you still exist??? Probably.

As long as there is motion time will exist.
