It depends on the book length, subject matter, and wether it is a new read or a reread.

Harry Potter - 12 hours (I had to make myself read carefully)
reread took well under 10 hours.

My best reread time was ALL of the Little House books from Big Woods to The First Four Years (9 in all) in less than 24 hours.

His Dark Materials is taking some time, due to the fact that I can only read at night.

Oh yeah? So what? I read that book in one quick sitting, too--but I had to go back and reread the last few chapters. A person can read TOO fast, you know. As in "skimming..." which should be done only by teachers. (joke?)

I read slow a book that size two day or more . I find time to ponder the writers thoughts and feeling, of each character in each chapter and the moods. More so I psychoanalyze twice over or i would read it in the same amount of time.

If I have nothing to do, I can put out a book a day...sometimes more. I love to read. Good thing the library is down the street.

If I really like the book, I'll usually finish it in about...4 - 7 hours.
But keep in mind, they're usually only 300-400 pages long.

I read LOTR 1-3, in 3 weeks. For thirteen, that's pretty good.

I read your question in under an hour. That's pretty darn quick, if you ask me.
