ive always heard that abuse gets worse the longer a person endures it, and this has proven to be somewhat true over the past few years. The reason i dont make a big deal out of it is because the intervals between each incident are so long-sometimes even a couple of years-that i usually forget how bad it was until it happens again to a worse degree. I got my first really bad black eye last week, up until now the bruises have been pretty well hidden and im wondering how long itll last? university classes start again on monday and i dont think concealer's going to do the job.

before anyone says anything, no i cant leave and no i cant report this person-hes a sibling. my parents take his side because theyre afraid he might 'get worse' ,so they turn against me instead. if i leave or call the cops i wont ever be allowed to see my siblings or family again.i dont want to worry my friends, how do i hide the bruise+make sure this doesnt happen again?

Make up and eye patches work well.
But seriously, nobody should be hitting you. If you can't get help, take a self defense course , get a bat and show him how it feels. If this esculates, call the police , sibling or not .
He will do this to some other women, maybe worse.

If you do not call the police, and charge your sibling with assault and battery and domestic violence....how will you feel when one day he kills someone? A life you could have saved had you done the right thing? Because that sort of behavior ALWAYS escalates. As for never seeing your sibling or family again, why on earth would you want to when they treat you so badly? You are not a human doormat. Do the right thing, not only for yourself, but for anyone that comes in contact with such an abusive person....call the police.

Get a spoon and freeze it and place on your bruise. Then alternate ice/heat packs on the bruise. make up is a great cover up.First you are in a no gain situation and your parents are not doing you justice. Ask them if they would consider getting him anger management classes. Ask them how they would feel if he were to kill you and/or them? Ask them if you can stay at a friends house for a while until he progresses in the anger management classes. You can still see them if you are placed in a foster home and you can be safe at the same time. I just went through a course to be a foster parent and they have a family safe program through CPS. There are ways to stay safe and be a part of your family. Many prayers for you and your family!!!!

First thing you need to know - when you're hit apply Troxevasin or Dolobene gel or Lioton as fast as possible and it will never appear, now you need to use Dolobene gel or Lioton to make it dissolve fast or at least put something warm on it rather often like a boiled egg or a mug with warm tea. Try Max Factor Long Lasting Performance to cover it and\or nice pink glasses. To make sure it doesn't happen again.... next time you need to defend yourself, learn to avoid punches, any boxing trainer will teach you. I think you need a martial arts course. Throw him once and he'll never come up to you again. I recomend judo. It's effective and good to frighten people. Also next time he hits you - use a chair on his head. very effective. a hairspray in the eyes, pepper in the face... when you strike, take something heavy in your hand, your punch will become stronger. A bottle crashed agaist his head is also fine. Beat him once or twice yourself and do it really strong, he'll stop beating you. Don't live in fear. Your parents can't control him-they can't control you.

Are there other siblings that could be abused if you left? Are you staying to protect someone else? I would not conceal the bruise. . .contact domestic violence in your area for someone to do some in-home services with your family. Better to try prevention first but you MUST protect yourself in the mean time. Have a plan to get away. Clothes packed and hide someplace. Have the number for domestic violence and their shelter just in case.

use conclear and wear sunglasses. If people ask why, just say you have an eye infection and are sensitive to light.

You need to figure out what causes your sibling to hit you and not do it again. If you can tell they are getting angry, you should back off. I wouldn't be afraid to call the cops next time it happens. You can choose not to press charges but it will scare them because they're know if it happens again, they'll go to jail. Your sibling had a problem. They will continue to hit people.. maybe their wife/husband or their kids. I think they need anger management.

OMG!! You have to leave or get some help! How old are you? I know you care about your parents and about not being able to comunicate with them but how much are they caring about you?? Sometimes you have to draw the line and realize that your the important one here. You need to report them (sibling) ASAP!!! Talk to a counselor at your school also, they maybe able to help you. Let me know how things work out for you! Good Luck. <><

You cover it up with concealer.for now, but the best thing for you is to leave this abusive household. Not only is the person hitting abusinve, but the people letting it happen are also to blame. If you're in university, then you can easily leave. It's time.

I can just think of some ice, but I heard that butter is good for shrinking a bump or swollen area a bit after it happened. And also, I have heard that if you get a big swollen area, strap a coin on it and it should shrink it a bit. That's all I can find, sorry.

If you can't leave, take some self defense classes and learn to protect yourself for next time this ****** comes at you.

To hide your eye... IDK... maybe an eye patch? You could say you have a scratch on your cornea and have to wear it for several days.

Good luck with your sibling being a d*ck-wad and your parents not caring about your health and well being.
