Why don't you call her Mattisyn? Meanings in a name aren't important. What matters is the girl inside. Why not come up with the meaning yourself? What the name means to you? you created her, so create her name.
Good luck x

I say Mattie (or maybe give her a more formal name like Madison and call her Maddie, for short) because everyone I know has named their child Addison (or Addisyn) in the past year. I know three people who have delivered just since May and every single one of them named their daughter Addison (or variations on spellings). Give your daughter something a little different and more original like Mattie (haven't heard that name is awhile). Oh one more point, I just looked at my neices class list (she starts kindergarden this year) and there are two little girls just in her class named Addison.

I like Addisyn and Madison just the same, their both very cute names, and can be Addi and Mattie when used for a younger child, but still adapts to a nice lovely adult name. good job!
If i really had to choose... I'd choose Addisyn.. i just don't see used much and i always like that in a name. :)

I like Addisyn, but I don't like the way you spell it. It's like you're trying too hard to make the name unique. I don't like the name Mattie at all, but maybe it's because my dogs name is Mattie. It's a little too popular, also. I teach dance and I without fail will have a Mattie in every one of my classes.

I like Addisyn better than Mattie. Once she is named people won't know the meaning of her name, so it won't matter which one has a better meaning. Choose the one that you like the best, even if you don't like the meaning.
Good luck!

I like Addisyn best but my real favorite is Adelyn! Mattie is okay and I like it with Grace, Mattie Grace but I wouldnt name a little girl that as her real name, I would use Mattie as a nickname to something else Like Madyson or Madelyn.

Just to make sure, are you naming a child?
Why not Maddisyn? It's the best of both worlds. The spelling and pronunciation are similar to Addisyn but the meaning is more desirable to you. Addie and Maddie are such similar nicknames and both pretty and cute.

First thing I thought when I read Addisyn was it's a boys name. Maybe you should find a 3rd name to consider since you're not sure on the two and one does seem boyish?
