Have some patience! Take a largeish pinch of blood worms and let them drop to the bottom near the Gourami. He will begin to suck them up like spaghetti. You might try some Ghost Shrimp as well (live or dead, mine is afraid of the live ones though...). If you have any questions or updates regarding your anorexic Gourami, please email me at nosoop4u@cox.net.

EDIT: You didn't mention how the tank is decorated. If it has a lot of tall plants for it to hide in, it will feel more secure and not use those plants (but still need them to be in the tank). Also, subdued lighting is best for these fish, so if you can think of a way to dim the lighting just a little bit, it will feel more secure and risk going to the surface.

I agree with the above suggestion by nosoop4u246.
Let the fish relax in new environment, apapt to feeding style, first feed some tasty sinking snacks like live brine shrimp, various live worms(disinfected), then gradually bring them to eat prepared foods, it also depends on what they used to be fed earlier(better ask petstore guy), and in my experience they prefer eating micro pellets(and colorbits) to flakes(dont know about others experience). I have a single dwarf honey gourami(wild caught), its a native fish here, earlier it was difficult to feed, now he became so friendly , he always begs for food when I am near the tank, often I hand feed the lil guy. He became so bold that he sits on my palm tickling me with tentacle like pelvic fins.

How long have you had him? Dwarfs are a timid fish, if they don't feel safe in their home they will only eat when they don't feel threatened. Try something like sinking shrimp pellets ( your cories will thank you for that) as it provides a way for the drawf to eat when the others are attacking the top of the tank. Once he is used to you he should eat fine and eventually swim to the front of the tank in response to your opening the top.
