They will get softer once you wash them. The higher the number the denser the fabric, but also the most durable. Just give them some time and soon they will feel soft and comfy.

Thread count is fine. More important is what type of fabric?? Egyptian Cotton, Combed Cotton, Sateen??
The type of fabric has more to do with the feel of the sheets than the thread count.
But generally, everyone else is right, wash em a few times they get better.

I have a set of 1000 thread count sheets and when I opened them I thought they seemed rough.. However, after I washed them with regular detergent/ 1 c. of baking soda they are so soft and wonderful..... Good luck

Wow, my two hundred count feels softer than that. I'm sorry you bought sucky sheets. Perhaps it is canvas, paint a picture.

bedsheets, and pillow cases are important.
when you try to get a good nights sleep.
I spend a little more to be comfortable at night and get a
good nights rest.
I like ralph lauren. pillow case at least, can't afforrd the other stuff.
