Where did you find this information? I doubt cell phones are really responsible for the drop in the bee population, but I'd like to see some scientific data supporting this theory.

No, there's no evidence that cell phones kill honeybees.
Though the cause (or causes) may not be clear, parasitic mites seem to be a big factor.
I think that the commercial beekeepers' practice of trucking bees from state to state as the farms need pollination, likely contributes to the rapid spread of the disorder.
Scientists are working on the problem. However, even without the scientists' help, the bee population is going to rebound. Those not killed will be resistant, and will reproduce. Don't worry too much.
There were no honeybees in the Americas before European colonists imported them; Native Americans somehow maintained their health without honey or bee crap.
Cell phones are a nuisance though.

There are a lot of missing bees not just in Ohio, but all over the world, due to a phenomenon called Colony Collapse Disorder. Cell phones have been speculated to be the cause, but have not been determined to be the culprit. There are some interesting videos on YouTube about this that you absolutely must watch; see below. This is a SERIOUS concern because there is simply some crops that cannot be farmed without bees.

It is just a myth. Cell phones are not destructive to bees anymore than they are destructive to us. It is probably a virus or parasite or something else that inhibits their navigation. Radiation from cell phones has no negative effect on any organic material in the body even when pressed to the ear.
