We called her Mrs. S (5th grade teacher)because her last name was huge. She was a really good teacher and carried about how kids took things emotionally and socially, not just about pumping us with information. She thought that all kids should have at least one friend in the classroom- I only had one friend coming into a new school and then next year she made sure we were in the same class-6th grade together.
Funny questions- most of my grade school teacher were very mean and nasty..... I am going back to school as a teacher and have practice taught some classes, all the kids tell me how nice I am :)
I think there should be a personality test for teachers!

I remember the names of my 1st,2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, . Why??? 1st and 3rd were the same lady Mrs Carmichel. My second grade teacher was a nun, Sister Mary Howard. My fifth grade teachers name was funny sounding to me, Mrs Sarna. I had a crush on my 6th grade teacher Mr. Moore. I met one of my best friends in the classes we had together in 7th and 8th grades Mr. James, Mr Soden and Mr Hosley. I moved 3 times during 9th grade and didn't stay in one school to long enough to form memories of the teachers.

Her name was Mrs. Kleine she was one of those teachers that was there for the kids not the money. A few years after I had her in the 5th grade she was awarded teacher of the decade (or something like that) in our area. She was the best teacher I ever had!

Mr. Brittan - taught 3rd grade and he would read us stories everyday. In one year he read to us several Roald Dahl books like "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Daniel the Champion of the World" and several of the Little House on the Prairey books. He was very nice and everyone loved him.

Mr. Schorn. I had him for 3rd and 4th grade after recess we would sit down and he would read stories to us and he said as long as he couldn't see us we could play our gameboys and stuff while he was reading. and he would let us have candy for no reason at all and we would have fun taking care of the fish in his classroom.
