Can anybody help me get money (Gold or several thousand Gold) on Guild Wars?

I need a lot of money for the skills I'm wanting but it is real hard even doin gnonstop missions. And i mostly want to do missions only because i get 1000 XP for the main missions and the bonus ones. But like I said I'm having trouble getting Gold. I want to go and get skills and better weapons and stuff that I need like keys or a lockpick. I also want to know how i can get a lot of faction points so i can buy the advanced skills from the Guild Hall's Priest of Balthazaar. I am on the Roleplaying side. I do not play PVP. So if you can help me, plz do. Thx.

Which campaign are you playing. In Factions you are given a lot of skills as you train at the monastery. In Prophecies you are given 2 skills each for completing most quests. You said you are skipping most quests and just doing missions. Well, that isn't recommended. No need to buy a skill that you could get for free from a quest.

Also, the Priest of Balthazar does not teach you any new skills. The Priest is just used for unlocking skills on your account for PvP. You need to buy skills from skill trainers in the various towns. Talk to the skill trainers in town and concentrate on learning as many skills as possible for your primary profession.

For now, don't waste a lot of money on keys and lockpicks. You can get a lot of junk from the chests. Talk to collectors for better weapons. Once you get more established in the game and know what is worth money and what's junk, you can start chest hunting.

Sell some of your old stuff to other people. Running missions for people is a good way to earn money. If you want more faction points try joining a large guild. Participating in guild battles will give you a lot of faction points.
