No not at all, though you CAN but its unnecessary. They use a white polish, and "clean up" with a brush and acetone to shape the white tip. I have mine done with a red tip and a white line underneath. Looks cute :)

No. For a french PEDICURE, they just paint the tops of your toenails (when they first do it you will swear they're messing up but be patient) and then use a small brush to remove the excess paint until just the tips are white. Then, they put a top coat (usually 2 coats) on and you sit untily you're dry!

I don't know if getting your toes airbrushed is an option; I have never done it but I suppose you could. I have NEVER heard of acrylic on toenails, though.

Good luck!!
:)

You actually don't. When the French Manicure first became popular, nail polish companies came out with do-it-yourself kits. If you go to a salon, they will likely want to give you acrylics. (I had an aunt go just to get a manicure: nails trimmed, polished, cuticles moisturized...and then the first thing the Asian lady did to her nails was roughen them up to accept the acrylic glue. Her nails were ruined, so she had to get acrylics even though she didn't go in there to get them. Lessons learned: make your directions clear and pray the lady speaks English as a first language.) Anyhow, I bet there are sites to teach you the diy instructions. It's simple. You need white nail polish and either pale pink or beige and clear nail polish plus some other things detailed in the site instructions. Directions below: (Have fun!!)

you haven't any longer indicated on your question however in case you're utilising acrylic/fake nails or is it your organic nails. besides, i could presume which you have been donning your genuine nail and that's the explanation why the nail polish/es you place as a French tip does not final awhile. Regardless in case you will purchase the costly ones yet each and all the nail polishes right here interior the U.S. have been made for acrylic to final and not for genuine nails.

NO! All you need to white nailpolish, clear pink coat. Start by painting the tips white. Take a qtip dipped in polish remover and make the white tips perfect that way! Then when the white is dry, go over entire nail with clear pink polish. Then top coat! Works Great!

no!! those kind of stuff damage ur nails...just make ur nails grow longer and then put some white nail polish all over or half of ur nails and get q-tips, dip it with a nail polish remover, use those to come up with the white tips...it is so much easier than acrylics

No you don't. Just tell them you want a French manicure/pedicure. You can even buy the stuff at Wal-mart to do it yourself. Sally Henson used to sell a kit.

No!! I do not think acrylics should even be recommended for the feet. It can be done with polish alone.
