I have a bee hive on my house that I would like to take down but it just won't come down. I have poked it with a long poll at least 10 times but the damn thing is stuck up there pretty good.

Do you have any idea on how to take it down?

The bee hive is on the corner of my house next to the attic vent.
Its a two story house and my water hose cant reach that area.

Its a small beehive so I don't want to pay an exterminator to take it down.

We personally had this problem, so....

I put on my snowmobile suit (it was summer and 95 degrees out), gloves, and a motorcycle helmet with a scarf around my neck.....boy I was stylin that night I tell you.

Anyway, we bought the foam bees nest killer. Waited till evening as suggested, used the foam, let it kill the bees (10-20 mins) then threw the nest in a garbage bag.

Yeah we could have called a pro, but the story is so funny to tell.

Before you try to remove it yourself, I suggest that you locate your local bee keeper and see if he/she would be willing to remove it for you. My local bee keeper does it free of charge because he gets a new hive out of the deal and from what I've read of other bee keepers is that they will do this as a community service. Bees are disappearing and the last thing we need is to lose more. They are our #1 pollinators and it's important to take care of them.
Good Luck

Please have someone determine whether you have honey bees, wasps or hornets before proceeding. If this is an exposed hive of honey bees follow 'spitfyrs' advice above. If hornets or wasps, you can do whatever crazy sh-t you want, just be sure to upload your adventures to YouTube. RScott
