Err, could you be more specific? I can name a TON of games and other things that this could apply to. So we need you to be more specific before anyone can answer it.

that's an old policy.. first come, first serve.
it's not entirely the gamers/chatters fault.. it's also the service/servers the people who host the chat/game/other.
they must fulfill demands too, most are a bit sluggish on that concept. thus there will be those who are left out or have to try more than once to join any participation's.
