The house I live in now (VERY small) has gas heat, about $300 a month on average in the winter. I'm moving into another house, which is about 4x as big, and it has electric baseboard heat. Each room and hallway has it's own thermostat. Am I looking at a giant electric bill during the winter? Or not since I can control the temp of each room? Just curious to see what you guys have to say, I've been hearing all different answers. Thanks!

You know it depends a lot on how well your house is insulated.
You may need to do some weather stripping and caulking.
I have had electric in the homes I have lived in for the last
several years and prefer it to gas. I have also had a vent less
fireplace in the homes I had in case the electric goes off. I do
use the fireplace often too. There is a lot you can do to help
keep down heating cost. Good luck.
