Mucas plug????

Question

I'm just wondering if it is possible that I could be losing my mucas plug?! I went in today for my weekly check-up, I'm 39 weeks and am dialated to 1 1/2cm. I've been home a few hours now but I noticed when I went to the bathroom that I have a lot of thick mucasy discharge. I'm not sure about the coloring though. It's reddish/pinkish/brownish/the clearish all in one? lol. Just wondering if the doctor's exam could have caused this?! And if so how long does it generally take to go into labor after I've lost it. I am sooo ready to have my daughter. My next appointement, I will be one day over-due if she is not here by then and the thought of having to go to another appointment is driving me nuts!!!

The exam could of made you lose a little bit more of it. Most likely being dilated a little bit you were losing it already.

Lets hope you go into labor before your next appt. But do not hold your breath!

I like having the ladies i help take a walk and try to get things moving when they lose there plug after 37 weeks. It does not allways work ofcourse but sure doesnt hurt trying. Most say it does move the worst of the mucus and feel cleaner at night. But ofcourse we know they wanted the baby as well.

I'd say it's your mucus plug. i didn't lose mine all at once, so you may still see some of it each time you go to the bathroom. Labor usually starts within a day or so.

Yes that is your plug it happened to me with my 2nd son and i went into labour the following day goodluck.
