Hello, I have a 10 gallon aquarium. I was thinking about getting some live plants. Any suggestions for this size tank?

Also, does anyone know of a good website about live plants? Thank you!

Both those sites are excellent resources for finding out more about planting your tank. You can also search for plants based on light requirements or even aquascape placement.

As mentioned before, you can plant your tank regardless of tank size. You may have to do some pruning now and then. Java fern and java moss are great low-light plants that are very easy to maintain. Wisteria and hornwort are also very nice plants, and grow very fast...the advantage of fast-growing plants being that they use up nitrates before any algae can get to it.

You can put live plants in any size aquarium. There are also many many benefits to having live plants in the tank, not just so they look nice.

I would reccomend you get "lowtech" plants like java fern or java moss or any anubas. Type those into google to find out more info on them. I usually buy live plants from my local fish store or ebay.

enjoy

Java Moss, Java Fern, Dwarf Hairgrass, Blyxa Japonica, Cabomba, Anubias Nana, and Pennywort are all good for small tanks. Check out this site too! http://www.plantedtank.net/

EDIT: Amazon Swords grow very large and requires very intense lighting (about 3-4 watts per gallon of water). Stick with low light plants.
