Oh it just continues to get better as my soon to be 14 year old can attest. The things that you do that embarass them just continue to mount. Things that were once A-OK or desired are suddenly no longer popular.
You have to drop them off about 5 miles from any social event soon because you are so embarassing as a parent. This means you get your revenge whenever you can!

Your question should really be: do kids ever grow out of being embarrassed by their parents? However the answer to your question is that kids grow out of being embarrassed by their parents and in turn embarrass their own.
It will peak when your daughter hits her teens and you try dancing with her and her friends and unless your habits and lifestyle embarrass grown ups too, it will pass as she hits her 20s. My oldest are 27, 25 and 22 and they seem to have largely got over it, but as kids Dad was a terminal source of family shame for them.

We'll never grow out of that...mine are 10 and 13 and it just gets more fun as they get older! I love to dance in the car because they MUST have their music on (or they might not be able to breathe, ya know.) This gets their eyes rolling and the 'oh my gosh, mom stop' whining out...have fun...it's a lot better than being boring...and they'll do it to their kids one day.

That is one of the few advantages of being a parent. Why would you want to spoil the fun. Now the trick is to adapt to your child's age regarding what is embarrassing to them as they grow older. I mean you have to change it up and not do the same thing over time. Aaaahhh, the challenges of parenthood.

I don't know if you will grow out of it but eventually she will grow out of being so embarrassed by you. My son is 6 and he is mortified by some of the things I do. I put my arm around him in public and he quickly let me know he was 6 years old and I shouldn't do that to him. So like you, I was tempted to do more. I kissed him! Then my best friend kissed him too. Moms need some form of entertainment!

You never grow out of it. The time will come when they'll ask you not to teach your grandchildren things like that. It's so much fun!! (When they get to about 7 or 8, the grandkids will be embarrassed.)

Don't you just love being able to do that. My son is 11 and just about everything I do now, he says embarrasses him. I love it!! It gets better as they get older because what is funny to her at 7 years old, she will want to crawl under something when she gets about 13 or so! I can't wait!!!!!

Oh no. In fact, as your children get older, you start to think up ways to embarrass them. My favorite is when a girl my son is interested in comes around, I start telling stories about when he was little - you know, the stupid things he did. Maybe that's why he doesn't let them meet me anymore, ya think?

Oh no they get worse as they get older. My 14 year old don't think I am amusing but my son does. My 22 year old is hilarious, but finds me embarrassing. Good times.

ahhh my gawd, I thrive on it!
I just like to antagonize and be a smart ***...to anyone, and my poor kids just don't get the joke sometimes while we are standing in line waiting to pay for the groceries :) Or if that hot young stud just happens to be standing close enough to hear what I am saying! Oh the joy of it all.
