Use synthetic division:
3|5 0 -5 1
. .. 15 45 120
---------------
...5 15 40 |121
Therefore, the answer is

Set it up like long division with x-3 outside and 5x^3 + 0x^2 -5x +1 inside

x goes into 5x^3 , 5x^2 times so put that on top and multiply by x-3, then subtrtact. You get 15x^2.

x goes into 15x^2, 15x times, so multiply it be x-3 and subtract. You get 40x

x goes into 40x, 40 times, so multiply it be x-3 and subtract. You get 121

Your answer is 5x^2 +15x +4 0+ 121/ (x-3)

Hope this helped.
