Going to see Les Miserables in London @ the Queen's Theater. What do people dress like when going to the theater in London? I certainly don't want to feel overdressed but I want to wear something nice...

Something casual/smart.
Like Linen trousers or something.
I'm going to see Grease soon In Piccadilly and i'm going to wear linen trousers and a top.
You want to be comfortable.

I read that people go to the theater wearing just about anything and nobody seems to mind. I guess a lot of tourists go to the theater straight from sightseeing so are casually dressed.

Smart casual, set a precedence.

Most theatre goer's in london like to make the effort when going out for the evening, but unless your'e going to the royal opera house covent garden, smart casual is the norm.

For Les Mis you will see people in every from jeans to suit and tie. Wear what you feel comfortable in, you won't look out of place.

well if you're going to wear jeans, wear a dark wash and a dressy top. it's better to be over rather than under dressed at the theater.
