Surprisingly, perhaps, I will suggest Live Free or Die Hard - not a "new release" exactly, but it was very entertaining and exciting. The kids I went with - both male and female - really liked it.

Or, the other suggestion might be Stardust, if you like the fantasy-type movies - better than Harry Potter was, in my opinion.

Harry Potter was a great movie. Transformers is good, but pretty voiolent for a 10 year old....she may get into it.

If "Hot Rod" is still out at your theaters, its a good one! It is full of comedy so adults will enjoy it and it is really clean! I suggest seeing it, however, it has been out a while so you may have already seen it. Have you seen Napoleon Dynamite, came out about 2 years ago, well it have around the same type of comedy in it.

If "Hot Rod" isn't out still then go to see "Daddy Day Camp" it is a children's comedy. It is the sequel to Daddy DayCare..you may have seen that, it came out a couple years ago also. It was a moderately funny movie for adults i suppose. But the kids will enjoy it!

:)
