Yes - it is discussed at length in a book called "The Physics of Immortality" by Frank Tipler. I have read a little of it, and as far as I can gather, the omega point is a kind of hypothetical structure (?) that resembles... I forget exactly, but I think it is something related to life after death. The book attempts to prove, using physics, that life after death is inevitable. It is pretty intense reading, and the back 3rd of the book is filled with mathematical proofs. Hope this helped.
