Well, if you have spiders, you have bugs. Get rid of the bugs.
Buy a cedar hanger at your local pharmacy store - it's a block of wood designed to repel insects (works quite well), and hang it on the inside doorknob of this shed/room thing.
You could also buy some RAID and spray the spider directly. But there are undoubtedly more.

Black widow spiders are very dangerous and with one bite can kill with a couple of seconds. Even though they are small they hurt and you will soon be on the floor dead, so the best thing to do is either leave it alone and let it do what it wants, it might go away once the baby is born and just don't open your window or you call an expert on spiders and see if he/ she can clear it. They are more dangerous than a camel spider ( they bite you, your paralysed and they eat your skin).

You can kill the spider either by hitting it with something, or by spraying it with a commercial bug-spray. The oven cleaner is not a great idea, as it could damage the area around the spider, and the residue is dangerous to you.
What you really need to do is clean out the habitat, this will discourage repeat visitors. Get yourself a friend who'll help you, and isn't afraid of spiders. You'll need a broom and your trashcans, get rid of the debris. They are basically shy, and without cover they'll look elsewhere next time.

Your fear of spiders is not unfounded, however, your fear also comes from your ignorance about them. Most spiders are not dangerous, and do more good than harm. they are helping you by getting rid of the insects that you do not want hanging around your house. This spider you have hanging outside your door is not going to hurt you. Leave it alone. Even if it is a Black Widow, it is not going to attack you. Most likely, it is not a Black Widow, as they do not usually build a web out in the open. But even if it is, use caution, but do not kill it as it is doing you more good than it could ever harm you.
Do some research and learn a little bit about spiders and their habits. You may gain a little respect for them and lose your fear of them. I did!!!!!!!

Yeah, whacking it with spray is probably your best bet. I'm not sure oven cleaner was ideal, but the odds are that it would do the job. It's the egg sacs you want to take care of, though. With the female gone, just rip them out of the web and burn them (unless you want to be nice and donate them to your local university, museum or naturalist society!) Don't think you can get rid of every widow around your house, of course - but you can certainly try to get rid of the ones in your high-traffic areas. Although I like most things, I do draw the line at dangerous organisms living in close proximity, where we may encounter each other unexpectedly..

Spray in down or give it the boot. Do not attempt to mess with the web as it is deceptively strong.

Take off your shoe and swing it repeatedly at the spider until nothing is left but a goo.
