Bob Saget is an American comedic actor. He made his fame starring in the television series "Full House" (which launched the Olsen twins on their career), and later hosted "America's Funniest Home Videos". On the latter show, he was famously horrible -- never funny and kind of a dweeb. If you've been called a "Bob Saget" I would not take it as a compliment.

Yes he is a comedian in United States - but the expression Bob Saget evolves from 40 Year Old Virgin when actor Steve Carell was having his chest waxed he yelled out - "Bob Saget".
that's my take on your question!! hope it helped.

I didn't realize Bob Saget was an expression. I thought he was an actor/show host. Learn something new every day.

Bob Saget is an actor/comedian, not an expression.

I've heard it used two ways:
1. For a full house in poker (alternately called a John Stamos, but never a Dave Coulier)
2. As a cleaner replacement for a swear word (i.e. instead of "Oh ****" it would be "Oh Bob Saget")

He was the actor on Full House, where he played the wholesome father figure. He is also a dirty, dirty, dirty comedian. Very funny. Very dirty.
