Hi,try to use natural,fresh,green tomato leafs,usually ants don"t like it.Just put it on top and around.

Try a product called armillatox. It's listed as a patio cleaner but believe me it really works. It will not damage your plants as long as you keep the solution off the leaves. Just make up the solution as directed and pour over the nest. As it's a contact killer they are killed instantly and your soil will be steralised too. This product was once listed as an ant nest killer.

I dont think it's the ants thst's eating the plants but greenfly and the ants are having a feast on them. Try using a spray to kill the greenfly.

Amdro ant killer works great on harvester ants.
You might try taking citrus peels, whizzing them in a blender with water and pouring the stuff around the hole.
