Usually the home work does not pick up real heavy in the first week or so if I remember. As far as catching up, after you finish your homework, once you start going, spend an extra 30 min a night working on some of your backed up work. You'll make, it will be easy you will see.

Your back at school already?! Its only August!! I didn't know people went back to school as early as this!! lol. When you do go back to school you could stay after and catch up on the work you have missed, or maybe go to your teachers during lunch

You should try calling a friend and ask them to give you the assignment and the first week and a half you usually don't do work the teachers just want to get to know you, pass out books, and reviewing what you did the previous year.

Relax. Ask a friend to bring your homework to you. The teachers will be impressed with the fact that you want to excel and will help you catch up when you return to class. The social scene will take care of itself. Get well soon.

The only bad part is having to make everything up--but it's probably easier to miss in the beginning since you are just starting things, not really in the middle of something huge. Hope you feel better.

Have a parent or friend at least bring you the homework. If you're really lucky, the teacher will send you the in-class work as well. Remember to rest and not overwork.

The first few days are absolutely nothing but an organization time for teachers.
You won't miss anything important.

They never did too much on the first week when I was in school anyway. Just ask all of your teachers what you missed.
