The mouse track pad of my laptop is not at all working. Is it possible to replace the mouse track pad without effecting the rest of the laptop? If this replacement of the mouse trackpad effect any parts of the laptop, please list them (For example keyboard,.. etc..). Approximate cost for this replacement in Indian Rupees.
Mine is Sony Vaio laptop.

It would be cheaper and easier to buy a separate mouse that plugs into a USB port (laptop mouse is smaller than the normal mouse). Also, many laptops stipulate that only licensed service personnel may work on their brand of laptop else the warranty is voided.

You can buy a wireless mouse that will be even better for about $30 dollars American. It plugs into the USB slot. I have one, its great!

you may change the mouse track pad ASAP. But it has some mild probs
