Apart from in prison.

Would people realisticly go and watch him play.

i think the issue wasnt so much that the Dog fights happened which are anabomination. However he killed 6 dogs.

People love their pooches, even prison inmates.

Havent you heard, the dear ole NAACP has gotten in on it now. They want the NFL to let him play and when they get involved he will get away with it. They should have been disbanded years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally, I don't think he should ever play again.

But you have hit on something here. Even if Goodell does not ban him from life from the NFL, if Vick admits in his plea agreement that he DID in fact participate in the hanging and drowning of dogs, that will be the end of him. Most people can get over the dogfighting, because they don't think too much about what actually goes on with dogfighting, but they can very well picture what goes on when you hang a dog and drown the ones that don't die from the hanging.

So, I think Michael Vick's future in the NFL really relies on what we all read on Monday. I think everybody is holding their breath waiting to read exactly what he does plea guilty to. I think it will be in his plea, I think it is one of the reasons it took Michael Vick so long to agree to a plea, he didn't want to include ALL the details about his participation and I believe the prosecutors insisted on it. If he does admit to it, then he could be serving even more time as a result of charges by VA of animal cruelty. If the sentences do not run concurrently, the question of whether or not he is allowed to play will be moot, he will be too old to play well---

Edit:
Muddy I agree, the fighting itself is horrific--but what I have been hearing from my male counterparts all over this city is that they can get over the dogfighting thing however awful it may be, but the torture used in killing the dogs is something they cannot get past--

All People make mistakes. Some deserve consequences. The part that makes it "Life" is that all don't receive consequences, and some receive too harsh or too lenient....consequences. We should forgive him, but that doesn't mean the nfl has to let him play or the owners should sign him, but they probably will.

Mike Vick will play ball again. It may be in prison, cfl, nfl, who knows for sure, but he will play unlesss someone kills him like he did those pits.

There is only one true judgement day and we all have a ticket. What happens here is what it is.....Life.

I hope not.

He's now in the same category as O J Simpson in my opinion.

Phillips and Vick agreed to the killing of approximately 6-8 dogs and all of those dogs were killed by various methods, including hanging and drowning.

He admitted in court papers today that he funded gambling associated with a dog fighting ring and helped kill dogs that underperformed.

Dogs that underperformed?
Dogs killed by hanging or drowning?

I hope they charge everyone involved, owners, killers, betters, etc.

He didn't just kill 6 dogs...........53 more are being euthanized.

All of it is just sickening

If he still has the ability to play when he gets out, then he probably will. Like any ex-con, he should be given the right to try making a living once he has served his time.

The question is whether he'll be able, at age 30, to make a comeback from something like this.

Probably. Don't have a clue which team but am sure someone will give him a chance and probably as quarterback because that's the humane thing to do, which is something he knows nothing about.

Ya gotta look at it from the team owner's point of view, who will lose money from season tickets, regular tickets, skybox leases, commercial revenue, not to mention the hassle from protesters, the list goes on. It all means less money and football is a cash cow. I cannot see an owner taking a chance on him when that owner knows he will only loose money.

It has more to do with the fact that he was fighting dogs not the fact that he killed 6

All breeders kill dogs. How do you think they keep the breed were they want it.Why do certain breeds have a certain size or specific color, because they keep weeding out the ones that dint meet the criteria.

How many dogs do PETA or pounds put down every year. That would be a staggering amount.

The real cruelty hear is fighting them.

well they can ban him for gambling but other than that they will have to let him play. I think that the Raiders would pick him up in a heart beat. I mean they have let players who have raped come back, players who have vehicular homicide come back. I personally would like to see him never play again, but you do have to remember that it is a HUGE message sent by the NFL if they ban Vick and let these others stay.

its not whether or not people would watch him but in sports now a days people want role models to lead their teams, but the main reason is after missing even one season, without constant training he will lose the ability to start an NFL team

Yes, he will get a chance somewhere. After at least a 2 two layoff "my guess" from the NFL I would not expect much out of him though. He really is not that good now.
