Science starts by breaking down the questions of origins into separate questions:
1. The origins of the universe (time, space, and energy/matter). This is the question of the Big Bang.
2. The origins of the galaxies, stars, and planets (acretion disks of large amounts of matter held together by gravity).
3. The origins of life (the question of 'abiogenesis').
4. The origins of species (this is the only question that evolution tries to answer ... the evolution of modern species by common ancestry from the first life forms).
5. The origins of consciousness.
Of the five, #4 is extremely well understood, and one of the strongest theories in the history of science. This is why it is odd that religious fundamentalists pick this one as the main one to attack ... even to the point of lumping all scientists under the single label "evolutionists."
Fundamentalists also attack #1, the Big Bang theory, which is also odd, as the Big Bang theory actually *supports* the idea of a specific moment of creation, rather than an infinitely old universe ... but the fundamentalists attack it anyways for the simple reason that the timelines indicated by the science are so at odds with a *literal* interpretation of a couple of passages in the Bible (that it all happened literally in 6 days, only 6,000 years ago).

Science cannot explain it! Its a fact that God created the world 5,767 years ago.
Try to refute it!
