I do not think that anything is coincidence. We learn in school that every choice you make brings a consequence. But I do think that some things do happen for a reason...to teach us a lesson that for some reason we have not learned yet. It is a chance to learn and grow.

Everything happens for a reason although at the time of the incident it may seem like a coincidence.

Personally, I don't believe in coincidence. However, that's me. I believe God puts things in my life for a reason, but I'm not a religious person. However, that's me. My conception of God is malleable; again, that's me. This is probably the worst answer for the question, but I think people looking at this should ask themselves about fate and luck (or the lack thereof, as it may be).
