Let's say they weren't lying to you. They just found out.

I am a 38 yr old woman... And if I were in love with someone & they found out the have AIDS or HIV - yes, I would still stay in love & if we were to marry I would continue with our plans... WHY??? - because everyone has a past. I am not above & beyond being without fault. When I love, I love with all my heart... no matter what. Ask my kids - if they found out they had AIDS would I stay their Mom? (dumb question) - but I want to treat my S.O. the same & love them unconditionally, so that in turn I too can be loved the same!

I don't think they would have "just discovered" before marrying me. My husband and I were dating for 3 months when I told him I wanted us both to get tested, and we did. I'd be concerned about having that much sex with someone and not knowing their HIV status.

Would I marry them though?.. Hmm... that's a tough one. If I did, honestly, it would be a sexless marriage. I would never risk getting HIV, and if I had it, I'd never have sex again and risk giving it to someone else. Condoms fail sometimes, it's a fact of life. It would just be too dangerous for me.

Female, age 24.

It depends upon whether the person knew they were infected before they started dating me. Whether the girl I love is HIV positive or has Aids would not stop me from marrying her. What would stop me is if she lied to me until after we were engaged.

I am a male, age 37.

Take care,
Troy

I am a 20 year old engaged female. Yes, I would stay with that person regardless of their disease. I am with that person because I am in love. You cannot help who you love and you cannot control that baggage that comes with that. I say stay with him because he is the person you want to share the rest of you life with.

39.

If they knew before and withheld the information I would not marry them.

If they just found out, I would marry them.

Trust is the issue in a marriage.

Did they just find out, or have they always known and not told me?? Questions will probably vary based on that, so you need to include that information!

I'm female, 30
First thing is get tested myself... If I was negative, I would try to offer support as a friend, but not marry him. If positive, obviously get married.

Hmmmm...tough one...likelihood for me is if my partner had it I'd now have it too. As we usually test, then stop using condoms. So yeah I'd marry them.
