I'd say Switzerland...its neutral (politically). Also, new zealand is so far away. I woudl think it would depend though if you want snow, fog, or sun?

What are the reasons why you leave and what are you looking for is the question.
a) I never lived in Ireland, the weather might be more likely british. The good thing is Ireland has really low taxes.
b) Came here myself and I love it. Though you don't come here for the money, it's for the lifestyle! You earn much more in the US, Switzerland and Ireland. If money is not an issue - perfect. Great nature, less crowded (4,5 Mio citizens).
If you like big cities go somewhere else ;-)
The lifestyle is pretty relaxed and you have the ocean everywhere and the politics...well it's politcs, everywhere the same s**t. but definately much better than in the US. NZ has a very small army and is nuclear free (no bombs, no power plants, no american subs). Also you don't have the big lawsuit mess like in the US.
The costs of living...well it depends of course where you live and how your lifestyle is. Auckland is pretty expensive. Nelson e.g. is expensive but very nice. Most sunshine hours per year...ocean...not too big, not too small (55,000), artist community. I would say around 500.000 NZ$ for a good family house in a nice area. If you're alone I would say you can live here good with NZ$50,000
c) Never lived in Switzerland but Germany. Switzerland is very expensive but you usually earn good. Hard to get in though. Political neutral. Lots of mountains and snow in winter. Language needs to be learned - depending on your area (French, Italian and German)

You need to research the requirements to move to one of those countries. There are extremely strict regulations for each. They are not SEEKING immigrants. Usually, you must be highly skilled in a job area where they need workers...usually one that requires advanced education and high tech abilities. yYu must secure a job there BEFORE they will grant you a work visa, and you must have sufficient provable income to live on till you are established ther. Switzerland is the most difficult . Here are some websites to research.
