A good hunter will make a humane kill and the meat will be processed for consumption. They aren't electrocuted, drowned, and otherwise tortured. Deer hunting is legal - dog fighting is not.

Do you really need to ask?

Dog fighting is starving and torturing dogs to turn them into killing machines. It is cruel b/c the only way out of fighting for a dog is death: either by another dog or a veterinarian putting them down b/c they are too mean to find homes.

Deer hunting is allowed because deer populations in communities get to be too large. The way to keep the population down is by hunting. Otherwise, the interstates and highways would be riddled with cars wrecked by deer crossing the highways at dusk and at night. And the hunters who know what they are doing are not torturing the deer. Hunters who respect the right to hunt make sure the deer don't suffer. ( Besides the fact that they actually hunt for food and not just sport. ) The only way to get fresh venison where I live is to hunt. If one of my friends ends up with more meat than they can use, I benefit. The two past years, I haven't been offered any, so I know my friends and family are sticking to the hunting guidelines. You can only kill so many deer each season. That way the deer don't become extinct and the deer also don't become deadly obstacles in the road.

First of all, I'm not in favor of deer hunting. However, that being said, if you shoot a deer, you can then eat it. In fact, that's how "hunting" started - the search for food. But dog fighting is just another excuse for violent men to be violent. It's not about the need for sustenance, it's not about sport or skill, it's just about the need to be cruel. I may be one of the few people who really likes pit bulls, and the idea that someone would not only teach them to fight each other, but kill them if they didn't "measure up" is absolutely incomprehensible and repulsive to me.

Deer can become over populated so killing makes it safer b/c to much population and they would starve, and when they lose food source deer's go exploring which lands then in the middle of the road.Dog fighting is like torturing the dog, and there was probably gambling and gambling is illegal in most states.

deer live in the wild and are familiar with seasons, changes, foraging for food and most of all survival. they are considered wid animals. where as dogs are domesticated and depend on the nurturing and love that a human gives. dogs are not trainined in the wild to hunt for food and survive without the aid of humans. theres a big difference between hunting a wild asnimal and pitting two innocent domesticated animals against one another for sport.

Deer hunting to me is acceptable when it's for a purpose (i.e. survival or just wanting venison), I don't feel it should be done for sport so you can put it's head on your wall.

Dog fighting is on a different scale to me though. It's torture until death. They fight, if it wins, it gets to do it again until it loses. When it loses, it probably gets killed. Absolutely nothing good comes from dog fighting.
