Most words have several meanings. It can mean feeling mentally or physically older and getting older in not functioning so well. It can mean chronological age, years on the earth, older than last year. It can mean socially, as I used to have temper tantrum, but I'm older now, emotionally. The tone of voice, the rest of the sentence, the context of the conversation plus your knowledge of the individual all determine how to take it. This video should make you 'older' intellectually and emotionally, if you watch it two or three times.

yes getting older means all that. It could mean getting wiser (from education and experience, in all experiences of life), could mean maturing, or could mean physical age and experiencing the physical aging process. They say the body totally changes every 10 years, so no matter what you have on you today it will not be the same in 10 years. You have to plan ahead because you are a child for only so many years, a young adult for so many years, a mature person for so many years, and a senior and later elderly for so many years. When a person is young they never think about those changes, in fact you don't even start to think of them until something starts to go wrong with your body that you yourself can't control.

We age, get older. As we age we gain wisdom, strength, compassion and understanding. Growing older is really just a type of evolution of the mind and a withering of the body. Years are only numbers.

I love Siaosi answer to your question
"your vision becomes focused.Reality becomes defined"
Getting older gives you life experience and stability...You are your own person as you tend to find out who you are and what you want out of life. As for the young a confused teenager........ trys to impress everyone who crosses their path and trys SO hard to fit in the crowed...wearing only whats in fashion, easily get influenced with what everyone else is doing.

Listen to "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac, redone by America's favorite bitches, the Dixie Chix.
"I've been afraid of changing cuz I built my world around you.
Something is something, and children get older, and I'm getting older too."
We are all aging at exactly the same rate. Some of you faster, and some of us more slowly.
