Yes I still have both, land line for speech and mobile for texting. My wife pays the land line bill OK?

I don't have a mobile phone or a land line phone, I use tin cans.

yes. You may need a land line because if you don't have any credit on your mobile phone or your battery is dead nobody will be able to get in touch with you and you wont be able to get in touch with other people.

A landline is a telephone pure and simple and all my friends, family and business collegues know my number.
My mobile is a radio communicator that can connect to the telephone system. Because it is a radio I can be Identified by my signal it emits and my position pinpointed within a hundred yards. So use yours wisely.

I don't have a landline. I use Skype for all my phone calls. It's great as I can call my mum in the UK from Ireland for 0.017cent per minute!! My best mate in L.A., California is also on Skype and we chat for free.
I have Three Mobile Broadband for my laptop and its great!! No need at all for that landline!

No...and my phone has terrible reception at my apt. You'd think Verizon would have a great network in the middle of the nation's second biggest city.
