I want one. Are there legimate services that really do set people up or are they all rip offs like you hear on tv?

If you really want to go that route, find some pin pals first.
Should a relationship develop, then visit the Philippians and family to see what happens, or not.
Visiting a country that is very different is a necessity, should you chose to be a good and understanding mate.

My wife's older brother married a Filipino girl and they are getting along nicely. They met through a family member of the bride who worked at the same company my brother is did. So they did not go through any service.

There have been many cases of Phillipino women who come here and once they have residency they dissapear.
You need to check them out to make sure it's not just a rip off like you say.
