Religious domination

Assyrians are Orthodox (Assyrian Orthodox Catholic Church of the East) labeled "Nestorian"
Chaldeans are an Eastern Catholic Church of the East Syrian Family

The big difference is that the latter are in full communion with the Pope of Rome and those in full communion with hin and the former are not.

The latter came out of the former and went with Rome and have their own patriarch

Members of the same family can be in either group
They have the same basic liturgy and history until the reunion with Rome

The motive for their own nation would be basically the same as for the Armenians, although the Armenians have been a very distinct people and even kingdom for much of their history and the Assryo-Chaldean East Syrian Christians have never been their own separate and independent political entity. Around WWi there was a movement for such a state and was one of the :"reasons'" for the "Turco-Islamic" genocide that the Assyrian Christians suffered around the time of the Armenian Genocide
There are also Assyrian Protestants of varied denominations and flavors.

Assyria is in modern day sudan i think. they lived further up river from the egyptians, up the nile. they also build pyramids, but on a smaller scale, and steeper. i think they worshipped pagan religions, like all ancients did. and i dont know what Caldeans are
