I'm having a roaring twenties theme party before my 30th birthday. I'm searching out some 20s classics for the first hour as everyone arrives. Think 'The Mask'.
Bah -bahbah. Bah -bahbah. Derdlerder....etc. :0)
Going to move through my favourites of each decade after that. Pop, rock 'n'roll, northern soul, Manchester rave-on, upbeat dancable indie tracks.
I'm going to be the only one over 17 to answer this question aren't I?

It would depend on the age group of people at the party and what kind of party it was. If is a nice formal party I would play light jazz in the background. If it was a party for teeneagers, I would play the latest top 40 and hiphop. If it was for 20-30 somethings I would play top 40 in the background but at a lower volume level. Hope this helps!

Older R&B from perhaps the 60's, 70's and a little 80's because I would want to bring back slow dancing into the mix.
When is the last time you've been out and they threw on a slow jam and you innocently renewed your love for each other?
