Ron Paul is a non-factor. He lacks the money and the organization to run as an independent. The one to watch is Michael Bloomberg. Originally a democrat, he switched to republican just to run against an unpopular incumbent democrat for mayor of NY. He has already changed his affiliation to independent and has an exploratory committee. He has plenty of his own money, too.
I think he is waiting to save Hillary if Giuliani is the republican nominee. Bloomberg can draw votes from Giuliani because he, too, is a popular NYC mayor. His purpose is to make sure Hillary wins her home state of NY. Many New Yorkers love Rudy and many upstaters hate Hillary. Bloomberg will offer the "anyone but Hillary" democrats an alternative to Rudy.

stable grief i'm hoping no longer. i believe that Ross Perot is secretly a ingenious. He entered the presidential race with the motive of splitting the Republican vote and giving the election to W J Clinton. Mr Clinton gained the election with 40 3.01% of the favored vote. Perot have been given very just about 19% of the favored vote. If Perot hadn't been there how a lot of his votes would have long previous to Clinton? You do the mathematics. i myself do no longer think of that Dr. Paul is a closet ingenious this is making an attempt to sabotage the election

Ron Paul was asked point blank after one of the televised debates if he would run as an independent if he did not win the Republican nomination. His answer was without hesitation or equivocation. He will not run as an independent if not nominated by the RNC.
So if Ron Paul runs in the same election as the Democratic nominee, he will not "steal" any votes from the Republican nominee because he would BE that nominee.

And they are both from Texas. But it is hard to say who would lose more votes to Paul. His antiwar stand could take votes from a Democrat who isn't antiwar enough for many people.
By the way, it is the lack of run off elections that cause parties to lose when the "winner" gets less than a majority. It is not the fault of alternative candidates who allow others to have a voice and be counted for their beliefs. There is no "stealing" votes from Democrats or Republicans, unless one actually steals a ballot box full of votes. Votes don't belong to parties or candidates; they belong to voters who have the right to use them any way they want without being subject to scare tactics by major parties trying to get them to vote for the "lesser of evils".

Ron Paul is the only one who could beat Hillary.
Why?
Because when he debates people, he makes them look like the liars, cheaters and crooks that they are.
He is the only top tier candidate who isn't associated with the CFR.
He is the only top tier that is for closed borders and against the North American Union.
If Ron Paul gets the nomination, the Democratics WILL LOSE!!!

Does anyone really still believe that it matters who among the "top tier" of either party wins the election? They will both be puppets of the same basic agenda. It's like professional wrestling. How does everyone not see through it?

Nope. Ron Paul is the only hope conservatives have for beating a Democrap. He can take their younger voters, their "intellectuals", their anti-Zionists as well as their leverage in medical fields (being DR. RON PAUL). The morons in charge of the RNC and the handlers of the formerly-free American press, have blackballed Dr. Paul because he wants to end the IRS, end our parasitic and dangerous Foreign Policy and expand INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS, as the Constitution and its writers envisioned.
Don' get me wrong. I am neither Repukelican nor Democrap, as I prefer freethinking to blind following. But after reading Dr. Paul's own words, watching him trounce his opponents in the debates, I am revising my voting registration to join the Republican Party, ONLY to vote for Mr. Paul in the NYS Primary abd General Election.
Afterwards, I will return my voting status to independent.
