By the way, he wears because of shoulder surgery a couple years ago to prtect it, not to look sweet
If you noticed D-Wade wore one when he came back from surgery last season

I remember hearing a few years back on TNT at the half with Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith, Charles asked why Iverson wore that band, Kenny said that Iverson has problems with blood flow to his arm after an injury early on in his career so now he wears it to help keep his arm warm and keeps a regulated bloodflow.

It is an arm sleeve and it is for medical purposes.
In fact in most leagues you need doctor's permission to wear one, if you don't a technical foul is given to that player's team.
