Why don't Democrats understand that by viciously attacking one another leading up to the primaries is more detrimental the anything?

Why are they trying to throw away their chance to do something positive for this nation with the possibility of controlling the white house and congress?

It seems sensless!!

This has been going on for years. Once someone actually receives the nomination, they kiss and make up so fast it will make your head swim. The Republicans do the same thing. It's just politics. Sickening, but politics. And you are right; it is senseless.

Because "going negative" works! Their campaigns are not being managed by statesmen or political scientists. They're run by folks with one purpose: win the election. It's just another reason to scrap the primary system as the chief method of selecting the ticket and go back to having the delegates at the convention do it.

Its the fundamentals of good leadership getting confused. You cant really show that youre a good leader without actually having that person with you to see the hardships you undertook in the past and how you were able to see your way through them. You cant really do this in an hour long debate with the field of candidates they have so they want to show that they KNOW what the problems are with this country today and that they have a workable plan for solving them.
