Why is it the more we are told not to do something the more we do it?

When some one tells me not to do something I think that if it's important enough to tell me not to do it, it's important enough for me to try.

if something is forbidden people tend to go for it coz we see what happens when we get it, we feel good bout ourselves because we like to think we did something no one else did n we have curiosity what happens if we break the rules? curiosity killed the cat
