The piston rings are in the deepest part of the engine. You'd have to pull the engine out and basically rebuild the whole engine. Not hard for someone who rebuilds engines, but for anyone else, it can quickly become an expensive nightmare.

With experiance a ring expander tool is all you need. That's only 2 % of the job. You need to pull the motor have the bores checked for size before the cylinders are re-honed and hope you will not require pistons and rings to do the job correctly. You chould have a Honda shop manual by your arm when you do this because of all the dimentions you should be checking. You'll need an 3-4 micrometer and a 3-4 telescoping gage. Feeler gages a piston ring end gap filing machine. New bearings, gaskets, torque wernch and all tools necessary to dis-assemble the cylinder head and camshaft.

Better leave this job to someone with proper tools.

You pretty much have to tear the engine down all the way. The pistons are at the heart of any engine, so it is always going to be a fairly large job to get to the pistons.

If you want more details, then get a copy of a repair manual, either at the Library in the reference secton or purchase one at an auto parts store.

good luck.

If you need to ask I don't think you should attempt it. If you are mechanically inclined you may have a chance. You should have the engine out and get the cyclinders bored and put in oversized pistons and rings.

Not so hard if you know what you are doing and depends on the rings

if you have experience rebuilding engines than your good to go... in other words I would swap in a used engine before I did that.
