I see your'e starting 3 WRs. If your league lets you bench a WR for a RB, I would recommend starting both McGahee and Jacobs and benching Edwards or Johnson. Edwards' success will depend largely on the QB situation. Calvin Johnson is a good pick with upside, but he is a rookie, and they're very volatile. Sit him out for a couple weeks and see how he does and re-evaluate.

If you cannot bench a WR, McGahee is the clear number 1 starter for the Ravens that have a great defense in a run oriented division. Although Brandon Jacobs will get a lot of touches (and TDs), he's not as clear cut with Droughns playing solid in the preseason. Also, the Giants are much more pass oriented than the Ravens. I would start McGahee for now and re-evaluate in 2 weeks.

McGahee hasn't looked too good in pre-season. He's an outside runner and Baltimore has never known anything but a straight ahead power-running scheme. Despite this, they are a running team and Willis will get tons of carries this year.

Brandon Jacobs hasn't proven anything as a starter. He's far from a rookie but he has no experience as a 16 game starter. Being that Jacobs is 260 pounds and has showed that he can push the pile I'd go with him. I'm not sold on McGahee and Baltimore is one dimensional allowing teams to focus more on the run. Taking down a 260 pound rb is not going to be easy for opposing defenses.

Bottom line: Start Jacobs in week one vs. Dallas.

Dallas has an average run defense, if they hold him to 50 yards and no TD's bench him and go with McGahee for the year. But if he makes mincemeat out of Dallas then you know he's the real deal.

I like McGahee. He is playing on a better team, and is the undisputed starter. Jacobs still has to earn his starting spot, and I don't trust the Giant's offensive line to make him a big star this season. Some experts picked McGahee in the first round of their drafts. No one has done that with Jacobs. Take it week by week, though. A lot can change between now and a few weeks from now. But I'd start with McGahee and go from there.

The Ravens like to run the ball. McGahee is the only real RB on their Roster. Jacobs will split time with Droens and didn't get many carries during the last couple weeks last season while Rubin had almost 20/week.
McGahee is your man at least early on.

For game one I would start Willis McGahee over Brandon Jacobs although it is not as easy as a decision as some people are going to say it is.

I take it your league does not have a wr/rb position so that is not an option.

I'm guessing you drafted Willis before you drafted Jacobs. For this reason alone, stick with your higher pick cus he was a higher pick for a reason.

While the season progresses, play whoever is playing a worse defense.

i actual like Chris Johnson, yet you merely can not start up him this week against the Jets protection. they have yet to allow a landing, and that they performed New England....I repeat, 0 TDs and their final opponent grew to become into the Patriots! Johson is magnificent, yet Rex Ryan has have been provided that protection enjoying at an elite point and you will guess they are going to be waiting for "each Coaches Dream". Willis McGahee isn't that solid of a back. i comprehend he has started out stable this season, yet its merely a rely of time earlier he falls aside, or receives injured lower back. Ray Rice grew to become into drafted to be the guy in Baltimore, so finally they are going to positioned the ball in his palms and enable him be the characteristic back. Brandon Jacobs, the guy is a beast. a youthful and green TB protection is going to get merely run over. Frankenstein hasn't had a actual ruin out interest as much as now so he's late. finally Fred Jackson. i'm a extensive fan of Lynch and that i think of he often is the guy in Buffalo lower back earlier the season ends. yet genuine now its Fred Jackson's tutor and he has one extra week to solidify his place in this offense earlier Lynch comes back. The stress is directly to preform by way of fact his achievement against the Saints would be a determining element interior the form of touches he will see from this element forward. fearless forcast: Chris Johnson 12 rushes, fifty 8 yards, 4 receptions, 24 yards Willis McGahee 10 rushes, sixty 3, 2 receptions, 18 yards a million TD Brandon Jacobs sixteen rushes 103 yards 2 TDs, 2 receptions, 21 yards Fred Jackson 13 rushes, ninety one yards a million TD, 6 receptions 40 two yards a million TD

Mcgahee every week my man, unless Jacobs starts to tear it up but I dont see the Giants scoring more than 12 points in a game all season

That'e easy. Start McGahee until or unless Jacobs proves to be a better option. Or if the Giants are playing a really bad run defense.

Jacobs could be a starter and is a TD whore...Mcgahee will be the featured runner, but on what kind of offense?
