My favorite playoff moment comes in the 2003 ALCS Game 7 when Aaron Boone hit the walk-off HR to send the Yankees to the World Series over the BoSox. I still get goosebumps when I see the replays. That whole series was amazing!

It's a tie between Johnny Damon's grand slam in Game 7 of the 2004 ALCS and Edgar Renteria's groundout to Keith Foulke in Game 4 of the World Series the same year.
The worst moment was the Aaron Boone homer in Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS. That was even worse than Bill Buckner because it ended the season for the Red Sox.

This pains me to say this, because I am definitely not a fan of the Yankees by any means, but for me it would have to be Jeter's "flip" in game 3 of the 2001 ALDS against Oakland. It's a perfect example of so many things that I admire about Jeter as a player - first of all, he was in position to make that play rather then standing around watching it, secondly, he was able to react so quickly to get to the ball at all, and third, he knew the situation well enough to know they had a play without looking - he knew Giambi wasn't very quick and that the play would be close.
I can think of a lot more moments that were more important, or even more historic, but that play will always be one of the greatest I've ever seen.
Great question, and a lot of great answers too.

There are plenty of dramatic home runs to mention, like (as a Yankee fan), Chambliss' walk off in '76 against the Royals, Leyritz' in '96, Reggie's three in one game in the '77 series, and the others people have mentioned, but I defy anyone to come up with a defensive play more spectacular than Jeter's flip.
Another of my faves was El Duque retiring the Red Sox in order with bases loaded and nobody out in relief in the 2005 playoffs.

Game 7 of the 2004 ALCS when Pokey Reese threw to first base to give the Red Sox the AL pennant. That one will always be sweet because it was against the New York Yankees.

It has to be the 2004 ALCS...when Red Sox crushed Yankees from the 3-0...i thought they were out f'sho, but yankees suddenly choked and Red Sox took adventage of that and won 4 in-a-row...i was gunna die from the heart attack when they won the ALCS...lol
but of course...there are more great play-off moments then that one...and it will just keep coming and coming...who knows...mayb there's gunna be another great play-off moment this year too

Scott Podsednik's homerun in game 2 of the 2005 World Series. As a longtime suffering Chicago fan you appreciate things like this.
