I'm very much in love with a man who feels the same about me. I'm 39, he is 41 and neither of us have ever been with someone we share so much in common with, have as much fun with or have even been as physically & sexually attracted to.
If things were different we probably already be married. There is no other man I want to spend my life with but him. But things aren't different.
Has anyone else gone through this? How do you deal with the heartache of not being with the one you love?

I have been in the same kind of circumstance with a man that I Loved dearly it started out fine we where just friend we both where sexually attracted to each other then it came to be more then that then we both fell for each other we had so much in common then after a year long secret affair I couldn't be with out him any longer so I told him the best way I knew how that I needed to be with him no matter what would happen for good or bad that I would be their for it all even if people hated me for being with him I loved him to much to let him go but at the end of the day how do you know that It couldn't be all that you want an more If you never try hes the love of your life then love him an let him know If your ready for it that you are going to take a chance on loving him hole heartily no matter what happen all Iknow is that if its meant to be then it will work it self out on its own so I say take a chance on love but at the same time guard your heart from being hurt because you still have to figure out if hes ready an also your self but if you love him TAKE A CHANCE ON LOVE best wishes.

Listen to what you are saying and i don't mean to sound cold, you use the word circumstance prevents you, and he, then you should step out of the picture, until he makes up his mind. Channel your feelings else where and let that man take care of his business, and you stay completely out of it. It could be you, is why the circumstance is there, and it won't get any better. Sorry i don't have the pill to help you deal with the headache of being with the one you love, when you shouldn't be physically, and sexually attracted to anyway.

that sucks, If you don't mind me asking, What is the circumstances that keeps you two apart. I'm in love with someone, but I'm confused. I fell in love in such a short period of time. No one has made me so happy and so miserable at the same time. My circumstances is a huge one. I'm married and have a daughter, when I married it was for convenience and to help him, and I do not love my husband but he does love me. And I don't want to be a selfish person. So I plan on not seeing the person I'm in love with anymore.

if you really love him what is stopying you from being with him. Love is a wonderful thing and even if someone is getting hurt, you should fight for it. A lot of people like to get involved in relationship that are hard to get, and once they get it they fall out in love inmediately. So think carefully about what you really want, and what would be the results.

Realize that you can love someone and NOT belong with them. Every feeling does not have to be played out, spoken or realized. I am assuming you are both married to other people and dwelling on this could only serve to undermine your current relationships. You CAN find peace in letting this go.

If neither one of you are married than why not try dating? If one of you are married than you need to forget about this before alot of people get hurt, especially if there are children involved.

One or both of you must be married or nothing could prevent you from being together. Leave the married people alone!

been there done that, its the hardest thing to live with when u caint be with the person u love, and no it doesnt get easier either, really dont know what to tell you either, just good luck maybe things will work out for you

You just keep going...I know its hard but if you truely love them, it is enough that they are where they need to be. That is the best that I can do.
