According to me there are many good players in the English Team like-
Kevin Pieterson, Alaster Cook, Paul Collingwood, Monty Panesar and James Anderson.
But as you ask about the one present best player in English Team is Who Perform consistensily and good throughout the Series and most important player of the Team is Kevin Pieterson.

Present English team has some good quality players. Paul Collingwood, Andrew Flintoff, James Anderson and Ian Bell but if we have to choose the best of the lot then my vote goes to Flintoff for his all round performance as his bowling gives him an edge over Collingwood and Peterson.

id say ian bell / paul collingwood
but if you go into th county game its got to old skool mark ramprakash, i say bring him back to the england team.
