That's a succulent called hens and chicks. You don't have to do anything to it except enjoy it. Maybe water it once a month.

This is a sempervirem and doesn't need much water...but it does love the sun. It can be outside or in. It likes free draining, ie not waterlogged, or clayey, soil.
It stores sap in its leaves which are fleshy, like most other succulents, and that's why it can exist with very little water.
It can be propagated very easily if you want to give one to a friend...just take a section off and re-pot in gritty soil.

They are hens & chicks! They love to grow in odd places (I have some in an old tree stump. ) They are a succulent and don't need a lot of water, but love sun.

Not hens and chicks, they are a silvery green.

Those are "Hens and Chick" they need a lot of sunlight and minimal watering
