Ok, I admit. I'm 85 pounds, 5' 4", and terrified of gaining weight. I'm approaching puberty, however, to me, that triggers a sense of going on a diet. Like I said, I'm terrified. I believe that I do have a slight case of anorexia...

Any advice would help...

Also, in addition, I swim 5 hours every other day at our local pool during the summer, I snowboard, I figure skate, I jog, I dance, and work out at home...

Well first you need to realize that you are TINY! You shouldn't be terrified of gaining weight at all, but you should be scared of losing weight, as you are underweight. I know someone who's 5'5", 95 pounds, and is stick-like, but very athletic like you. I'm 5'4" and 115 pounds, which is a healthy weight.

You also need to remember that EVERY girl's body changes during puberty. It's just a fact of life. But really, when you exercise as much as you do, I doubt you're going to gain much. If you think you need help with this, don't be scared to talk to your parents or a therapist or school guidance councelor or what not. They'll be able to help you.

Since you just basically admitted that you have a slight case of anerexia you should go talk to a therapist or somebody that can help you. I dont know how that sounds to you but it's a pretty big deal, and the fact that you weigh 85 lbs is not good at all you should at least weigh like 100. Gaining weights not always bad you could do it the right way and eat right and in moderation but also exercise. That way you will be healthy, look healthy and not be fat at all.

Why do you ADMIT to being a particular weight? Why not FEMALE too? If you are eating regular, go to the John regular and get in plenty of excersize then take a weight check you will probably find that that is your expected weight. We don't all grow thinking to stay at or with a particular weight regime. If you think normal then the rest will follow. If you are anorexic then see a doctor. Drink tea that is hot and soothing..eat plenty of greens and walk, bike or row, jog even..the weight you are given is the weight you are given..there ain't nothing anyone can do about it. Stay fit and healthy and don't get smart *** ideas about cheating what is really you..people prefer the real you and not some by-product or a forced nature person.

It would help if you said how old you are. If you are naturally thin, then that is the way you are. You eat when you are hungry and stop when you aren't. Don't starve yourself or try to lose any more weight in any way. As you develop, you are going to gain weight because that is what you need to have children later in life. You will especially find that you are gaining weight in the hips and breasts. This is normal, so don't be afraid to gain it. As long as you don't change your eating habits and are getting all of the nutrients you need, I think you will be fine. Just don't be afraid to gain weight. When you have your physical (I hope you do go in for physicals regularly) your doctor can tell you if your weight isn't right.

You should talk to a nutritionist. Sounds to me like there are two ways you can go. You can be obsessed with staying skinny... or you can become obsessed with being healthy. Educate yourself on healthy ways to stay skinny. You are underweight, and you can really hurt your body. You kidneys will be the first to go. So look into eating right and join a running group that does marathons. That way you will be slender AND healthy AND toned. Your body will look better if it's got some muscle. Stop being anorexic and become a health nut. There is a whole world of soy beans and tofu and bean sprouts for you to discover!

85 is very underweight for 5'4! You should want to gain wait, not be afraid of it! If I were you, I would talk to my mom about it, because she chould help with a food plan and everything. Even better would be to talk to your doctor because they really know what's the right thing for you.
Just try not to worry about it!
